About ACT:

Accessible Caring Transport is a registered charity, limited by guarantee, operating accessible transport in the South Wales area. We have been serving the community since 1989. Evolving from a small community project, developing many initiatives in work journeys, health and social environments. We now offer two community transport services, a flexible Dial-a-Ride service called RangeRider and excursions through our Outriderz service to all the community.

We are a members led charity, our members are all living in our local community.  We actively encourage their involvement to improve existing services and develop services to meet the needs of the community. We are open for use by all the community, we give priority to disabled people where required.  We serve many individuals and organisations, and welcome others to use the services.  For more information on our membership scheme visit our Membership section.

We place an emphasis on safety, quality and care in the delivery of our services to everyone, all our drivers and passenger assistants have DBS clearance. All drivers are trained to PSV standards and the Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme (MiDAS). Where assistants are required they are trained as Passenger Assistants.  All our staff are trained to the Community Transport Association standards.

We receive a core grant from Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council, and in addition generate our own funds by charging fares or set fees.

We welcome you to use our service and contact us for further information. Please view our contact page.
